Back in February I blogged about this really great marketing campaign that Chiquita Banana was doing (you can see that blog post here). Paired up with DJ Neff, the company has started to create a whole new image out of the classic sticker found on the bunches of bananas. Simply put, a little personification of the product is happening.
Now, Chiquita is giving the consumer power to create characters out of their fruits. By July 18th, you can design a sticker you feel is worthy of being a new marketing tool for the company. There is the option to use a template from the website or you can upload one that you've already created. Luckily, you can "go bananas" and design up to 25 different stickers.
Then on August 23rd, http://www.eatachiquita.com/ will have the top 50 finalists posted. From there it's up to votes by the public to decide what 18 stickers will personify the Chiquita bananas and make it into stores nationwide.
I think this is a pretty cool campaign. What better way to get involved with your consumers than by allowing them to basically design the only part of your product that can be designed?

Check out the website, and if you're feeling creative (or maybe even competitive) start designing you're own!
