Sweet Talk for a Smile.

Gaining attention in a world populated with advertisements and viral youtube videos is a challenging task for any brand. Not to mention a brand whose product may not be the first thing you think of when advertising and viral marketing come to mind. I'm talking about gum here. Do you ever think of gum advertising? Honestly, probably not. But, we all know the Orbit lady, right? She always asks at the end of the spot, "Dirty Mouth? Clean it up, Fabulous!" Or how about Trident's commercial where people are paid in gum, "Pay Me in Gum!" Randomly, near the end the utility worker in the bucket truck says "No one ever pays me in gum :(" followed by a canned "Awww!" Or, do you ever think about how much time creative and packaging talent put into what gum packs will look like in the marketplace? Gone are the days of tin foil sticks. Hello wallet size rectangles that coordinate with my outfit.

Add Wrigley's Juicy Fruit to the memorable gum marketing hall of fame. I stumbled across some of the digital (viral) marketing endeavors for the gum and they are nothing short of hilarious, creative and random.

If you have an iPhone download the "Sweet Talk" application. Hold the iPhone under your nose and let one of the five different, sweet talking characters, get a conversation started.

After you download the application, head over to http://www.serenadingunicorn.com/ on your computer. The puppet unicorn sings Michael Bolton, Boyz II Men and Culture Club. It has the potential to not only brighten up your day but maybe a friends, too.

These great Wrigley's Juicy Fruit campaigns were created by Evolution Bureau, an agency that prides themselves on making content that audiences can participate in. I think Evolution Bureau has done a pretty good job of helping Juicy Fruit gain attention and laughs from audiences.

(Fun Fact: Evolution Bureau collaborated to help create the beloved holiday favorite "ElfYourself" for OfficeMax, as well!)
