High Fives for Michigan's 1-7-5!

On this day in in 1837, Michigan became the 26th State. 175 years young, Michigan has a lot to be proud of! After all, it is the birthplace of the automobile, stop light, paved road, Play-Doh, Ritz Cracker, Faygo, Vernor's, Motown Music, Corn Flakes and much more!

Great things tend to happen in the "Great Lakes State." From Detroit to Escanaba, there's in an innovative and contagious spirit that's hard to put into words. But, I think it is safe to say, all who are from "The Mitten" are proud to call it their home. And all who are from the other 49 States in America, more than likely love our tourism campaign (and wish they could call it home ;-).

Here's to the past 175 years, future 175 and all the celebrations that come with it!
