Spring break may or may not be consumed with surfing the web and stumbling across great things. Of course, I plan on sharing everything with all of you. My "favorites" folder is already filling up. The first finds of vacation are paintings by an artist named Kelsey Brookes.
Brookes was once a biochemist and worked for the US government tracking viruses. However, now he lives and works in San Diego as a painter. His work is very cool complete with bright colors and bold words--it is no wonder I am attracted to it. He has illustrated for companies like RVCA and Vans (he can be found under the Art tab on the Vans website). Ch-Ch-Ch-Check him out.
